Body:
Center ring = 2-2-2-2-2-2-2-2 cl, false picot.
Round one = S/R 3-6/3-6, * ch 3-4-3 rw, R 6+3+3-6 rw.
Repeat from * til there are 8 rings, remembering to join the last ring to the first ring (6+3+3+6).
Finish with the chain, cut & tie.
Head:
Ring 1 = 4+(to bottom picot of any body chain) 4+(to top picot of same body chain) 12-(for beak) 4 cl.
Ring 2 = S/R 8/8 cl
Ring 3 = R 8 cl cut and tie.
The waddle can be tied or joined between the small r and the split ring to the top picot of the next body chain.
Tail:
Join thread to 1st or 2nd picot of body chain above head.
Chain 20+ (into next picot) until 10 chains (more or less, your choice) are completed and joined.
Cut and tie.
I used brown for the body, red for the head and variegated for the tail
